Literature, Conversation, Books and Seniors

Literature reading for seniors: 21 October – 16 December 2026, BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Every Wednesday, volunteers host a shared reading session for seniors at BIBLIOTEKET. It takes place in the foyer on the 3rd floor by the grand piano, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, and participation is free - just show up without booking.

The programme is open to all seniors who want to gather around literature and share the thoughts the texts inspire. The selection is broad - old and new, Danish and international - as long as it's engaging.

The texts are brought along and read aloud by one of the volunteer reading guides, so you don't need to read ahead or prepare at home. You can join whenever it suits you, though it's lovely to see familiar faces return.
