When Everything Goes Dark

When Everything Goes Dark - talk: Tuesday 27 October 2026, 19:00–19:45, Munkebo Bibliotek, Munkebo. Admission is free.

The TV programme 'When Everything Goes Dark' premiered on DR on 21 October. Ten Danes moved into five apartments next to each other, knowing they would participate in a TV experiment - but not what it would involve. After a few hours, the power went out and didn't return for three days.

On Emergency Preparedness Day, you can meet two of the participants, Jackie and Sandy, who will share their experiences when the power suddenly disappeared: How did they react when the reality sank in? What was hardest, and what role did community play for them along the way? They will also discuss what they learned about their own and each other's preparedness.

Come and hear how people react when the power goes out, resources become scarce, and everyday life must suddenly function on completely new terms.
