Gjellerodde has changed significantly over the past year: large parts of the forest have been cleared of unwanted trees, some forest roads are being closed, the shelter area is relocating, the scout hut is being converted into a nature centre, and a bird protection area has been established in Krogen.

On a guided tour, these changes will be reviewed. Environmental officer Kristina B. Pedersen from Lemvig Municipality will discuss future management, forest manager Johan Madsen will talk about the forest, and Kristian Tikjøb will discuss the birdlife on site. The tour is on foot, so wear appropriate clothing and footwear. No registration required.

Annual Meeting for Members of DN Lemvig
November 1, 12:00 to approximately 14:30, Hjemstavnsgården Gjellergaard

The day begins with lunch at 12:00-13:00, when the 2026 Nature Prize of the Year is also awarded. The actual annual meeting runs from 13:00 to 14:30 with coffee/tea and cake.

The agenda includes election of chair, chairman's report, submitted proposals (must be submitted no later than one week before the meeting), election of board members and alternates, and any other business. Voting rights and eligibility require at least two months of membership prior to the meeting.

DN Lemvig currently lacks 2 board members and hopes to have the board fully staffed - 6 members plus 2 alternates - after the annual meeting.
