Anne-Marie Vedsø Olesen concludes her epic saga about the völva Snehild with the fifth and final book, "Flaming Sword". The saga, which weaves the oldest Norse tales with a new interpretation of mythology and human fate, reaches its climax here: Ragnarok.

Visions are taking control of Snehild, who must seek out Odin, king of the Aesir gods, in Asgard to regain command of her völva powers. Meanwhile, the Fimbulwinter tightens its grip on the world, the dissolution of Yggdrasil increases, and the fire giants smoulder in the depths. Every ninth day the world trembles when the chained Loki screams in pain - but what role do the Aesir play in the coming destruction, and what awaits Snehild?

Anne-Marie Vedsø Olesen debuted in 2000 with "Salerno's Sun" and has since won several awards, including the DR Novel Prize for "The Völva's Way - Snehild" in 2022.
