Mad Heads is one of the most renowned Ukrainian rock bands and is considered a legend in their home country. Vadym Krasnookyi - singer, guitarist, songwriter and the band's frontman - founded the band in 1991. Since then, they have released eight studio albums and over 30 music videos, performed more than 1,000 concerts in Ukraine and toured in 12 countries. The music blends ska, reggae, rockabilly and other styles, and songs like "Nadiya Ye" (There Is Hope) and "A Ya Na Mori" (And I'm at the Seaside) are known far beyond Ukraine's borders; the latter is a ringtone for over 2 million Ukrainian mobile subscribers. The band's songs have over 70 million views on YouTube combined.
In May 2026, the song "Pro liubov" (About Love) was released as part of the project "Zbyti Rymy" (Fallen Rhymes), where poems written by soldiers are set to music. Krasnookyi is currently on a solo world tour, "Nadiya Ye", in support of Ukraine's armed forces. Since 2024, the tour has included over 150 concerts in 17 countries, including Europe, USA and Canada, with 52 shows already completed in 2026.
