Osteoporosis is one of Denmark's most underdiagnosed public health conditions: around 700,000 Danes have osteoporosis, but only 220,000 have been diagnosed. The disease affects one in three women and one in six men over 50 years old, rarely shows symptoms before a fracture occurs, and causes over 43,000 bone fractures in Denmark each year - including approximately 10,000 hip fractures.
Organizer: Osteoporosis Association Midtjylland. Admission: 50 kr. for members, 100 kr. for non-members. Registration required by Sunday, November 1st.
