SOLD OUT - Krabbesholm: A Historical Walk with Readings

Krabbesholm's history stretches back to the late Middle Ages, when the site originally consisted of two farms - Nørre- and Sønder-Skovshoved - and bore the name Skovshoved. Around 1555, Iver Krabbe began construction of the main building that would give the farm its name, though it was only completed after his death. Skive Municipality purchased the farm in 1906 and sold it the following year to A. Axelsen and pastor A.Th. Dorf, who ran Salling Folk High School. Since then, Krabbesholm Folk High School has been located on the site.

One of the school's teachers will guide visitors and tell the story of the place's past, after which a librarian will read aloud from selected literature - while coffee or tea is served.

Meeting point: at the entrance to Krabbesholm Folk High School, Krabbesholm Alle 15, at 16:30. Admission is 30 kr. including coffee/tea. This is the sixth of seven walks with readings held for Skive's 700th anniversary as a market town - the next and final walk takes place on 2 September.
