Film and Books: The Time of Year

This evening at Hornslet Library explores the pressure of expectations during the holidays. When expectations run highest, family conflicts tend to flare up - and that is precisely what this evening revolves around.

First, there will be a short presentation of novels depicting how family tensions can erupt precisely when everything should be most cosy. Afterwards, the audience can watch or revisit Paprika Steen's film "The Time of Year" from 2018, where the illusion of Christmas peace crumbles as gifts are opened and heavy food is served.
