Description was written before the event

Choro is part of the Brazilian folk music tradition. The genre has roots in European polka and waltz, but developed into an independent style under the influence of carioca culture in Rio de Janeiro. Now it is also played in Scandinavia, and this evening brings the music to Copenhagen.

First, ChoroNu presents 30 minutes of classic choro pieces. Afterwards, the floor opens for a jam session with Roda de Choro Copenhagen and friends.

The event is in both Danish and English.
