Klara Trebbien Rasmussen - Flæsk

Klara Trebbien Rasmussen spent a month working undercover in a conventional Danish pig farm - an industry that the public rarely gets insight into. By posing as a student, she gained access to the daily life of the stables and was able to closely observe how speed and efficiency are prioritized over law and ethics.

At Fredericia Library, she shares the background behind her undercover approach and the ethical questions she encountered along the way. The lecture is based on her book Flæsk - an insider account of an industry that has shaped Denmark for generations, and what happens to thousands of pigs before they reach the dinner table.
