Do you want to write but have no patience for grammar rules? Text to the Times is a weekly writing workshop at Gellerup Library for everyone aged 15 and up - focusing on storytelling and linguistic curiosity rather than correctness. Meetings take place every Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM from August 18 to December 15.

The work is based on short writing exercises and the concept of TEXT in a broad sense - rap, poetry, prose, diary, film script, or something entirely different. Participants receive feedback on their own texts and have the opportunity to discuss how to present their work to an audience.

The two instructors are PC Asmussen and Silas Stochholm. Asmussen is a former circus director at GØGLERSKOLEN in Aarhus, made his debut as a novelist in 2019 with "Friendship for Life" (shortlisted for the year's debut prize), has published "The Sea of Childhood" and received the Underground Poetry Prize in 2023. Stochholm is a poet and founder of the poetry movement Young Danish Poets - an anti-elitist writing community with open stages, writing instruction, and "Pop-Up Poetry" events in the streets.

Participation is free but requires registration with PC Asmussen: pc.asmussen@gmail.com or mobile 29256021. The workshop is a collaboration between FO-Aarhus, Health and Care, and Culture and Citizen Services, Aarhus Municipality.
