F-16 and Me

Fighter pilot Thomas Kristensen shares his journey to the cockpit - from reserve officer training in the Army and service with the Royal Life Guards to nearly 4,000 flight hours in the F-16 Fighting Falcon. He is the only Danish fighter pilot to have participated in all of the Royal Danish Air Force's combat missions since 1993.

The lecture covers not only technical and operational aspects, but also the human side: doubt, responsibility, mental demands, and the camaraderie that emerges in extreme situations. Kristensen's personal reflections on going to war offer food for thought - particularly in light of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He has also written several books about flying and military life.
