Singer Dalia Valančiūtė performs an intimate concert with guitarist Jason Shooster and bassist August Hofman Bøegh. She is drawn to the quiet, lyrical, and reflective sides of jazz.

Born in Lithuania, Dalia Valančiūtė lives and works in Copenhagen. She draws inspiration from vocal jazz legends such as Shirley Horn, Irene Kral, and Betty Carter. For her, storytelling, presence, and interplay between musicians are paramount.

In the trio with guitar, upright bass, and voice, there is ample space for the music to breathe. The three musicians approach the jazz repertoire with curiosity and improvisation, with an eye for both the simple and the unexpected.
