Story Time with Stine Tange
Skørping Bibliotek, Skørping · Free
Seeds were not always something you bought - they were passed down and a natural part of self-sufficiency.
This story time with Stine Tange is about how collecting your own seeds can help you build a more resilient garden. Plants grown from your own seeds gradually adapt to the local microclimate in ways that shop-bought seeds never can. Late summer is peak season for seed collecting, and the programme covers the main genetic pitfalls as well as the practical work of selecting, harvesting and drying the best varieties.
The goal is an independent seed bank, so you don't need to buy new seeds every year. Stine Tange has established and maintains the seed and cutting library at Skørping Library.
