Skrallebang brings songs from classic fairy tales by H.C. Andersen and Grimm to Fjerritslev Bibliotek on Saturday, 12 September 2026 at 10.00. This is one of eight Danish dates on the group's tour. The performance takes place in the former town hall at the heart of Fjerritslev, converted to a library in 1987. Skrallebang spins familiar stories such as The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats, Goldilocks, The Emperor's New Clothes and The Little Mermaid with quirky props and plenty of laughs for children. The event is free, but registration is required.

About the venue: Fjerritslev Bibliotek

Fjerritslev Bibliotek is housed in the former town hall in the centre of town, converted into a library in 1987. The two-storey building - with lift access - has the children's section and adult fiction on the ground floor, while the reading room and non-fiction are upstairs. The basement holds the local history archive for Fjerritslev and the surrounding area. The library is part of Jammerbugt Bibliotekerne and regularly hosts talks and children's events.

Since 2012, Nana Bang Kirkegaard and Søren Jensen have taken their SKRALLEBANG show to stages across Denmark, clocking over 120 children's concerts a year. Rap, songs, movement and fairy-tale storytelling combine in a format where the youngest audience members are part of the action throughout.
