Debut Fest: joY

joY takes the audience into a cinematic electronic sound universe built from deep bass, ambient melancholy, and industrial textures. Drawing inspiration from lyrics, performance art, and club culture, joY works with music as dramaturgy - sequences and transitions unfold as atmospheric scenes. Thematically, the music circles around identity as something ambiguous and changeable, the individual's story almost like a myth, written in dreaming and brutal imagery of thorns, wings and apples, Eden's garden, depression, mirrors, sacrificial rituals, and happy endings.

joY is an electronic artist and producer focused on sound design, composition, and atmospheric production, exploring how sound can function as a storytelling tool. Beyond music, joY works as a multidisciplinary artist and creative concept developer, and is a co-founder of the female-driven electronic collective SYNTHETICA, which works toward more inclusive and emotionally grounded spaces within electronic music and cultural life.
