FRIHED builds their sound from soft synth pads and sub-bass with intricate synth melodies layered on top. They play one long set - a melodic universe where the music sustains itself yet remains in constant transformation.

The band consists of Magnus Frihed and Kristoffer Skjøde Rander and is joined by Rødbuks on guitar, who also performs at Debut Fest 2026. Magnus Frihed originally worked exclusively with sound and music on computer, but in his search for a more intuitive approach, he also began playing piano as his main instrument.

About the venue: Brønshøj Vandtårn

Brønshøj Vandtårn is a listed functionalist water tower from 1928, designed by architect Ib Lunding in reinforced concrete and standing 34 metres tall. It supplied Copenhagen with water until 1999 and has since been converted into a cultural venue. Inside, the ceiling soars more than 20 metres overhead, giving the space a striking reverberation that shapes everything from black metal and poetry to sound art and exhibitions. The tower is run by the cultural centre Pilegården and has no fixed opening hours - the programme determines when the doors are open.
