A Tribute to Lebanese Women

The evening centers on Ghada Baba Nasser's personal story: she grew up in Lebanon during war and uncertainty, fled her homeland as a refugee, and has since built a new life in Denmark. Her account explores holding onto hope and pursuing dreams despite hardship - and the audience is invited to engage in dialogue with Ghada and with one another.

Before the event begins, Lebanese food will be available from Send Flere Krydderier in Union. Afterwards, belly dancers from Skole for Orientalsk Dans and guest dancers will perform pieces exploring themes of women's strength and solidarity.

The event is free and open to all. It is organized by Skolen for orientalsk dans with support from Nørrebro Lokaludvalg.
