
A Tribute to Lebanese Women
An evening celebrating Lebanese women featuring storyteller Ghada Baba Nasser, Lebanese cuisine, and belly dance performances exploring themes of strength and solidarity.
DOF Skole for Orientalsk Dans is a Copenhagen evening school that has taught belly dancing and oriental dance to women of all ages since 1991. Based at Kulturhuset Union in Nørrebro, it is led by Suzzane Sofia Potempa, who has been teaching the art form since 1989. Alongside its regular classes, the school organises cultural events and lectures on Middle Eastern dance and history. It is affiliated with Dansk Oplysnings Forbund and works in partnership with the Shahrazad association, which runs integration activities for refugee and immigrant women.

Nørrebro Local Committee approved up to 9,800 kr. in December 2025 for the school's event 'Nørrebro's Rhythms' at UNION on May 8, 2026.
The school's autumn program 2025 announced that the school celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2026, and that cultural events are planned at Union Kbh.
The school held a veil weekend course with accommodation at Fuglsang Herregaard on April 18-19, 2026.
New classes in belly dance for beginners and advanced students started at Kulturhuset Union from August 2025, with instruction on Monday and Tuesday.
