Brønshøj Copenhagen Jazz Club: Sunday Matinée with Jazz Dippers — Brønshøj Kulturhus, Copenhagen

Jazz Dippers brings traditional jazz, swing and boogie to Brønshøj Kulturhus - with a repertoire spanning from New Orleans classics to Danish numbers, from Louis Armstrong to Bjarne Liller.

The band consists of Søren Peter Frøsig (trumpet/vocals), Brian Svendsen (piano/clarinet/vocals), Nicolas Kock (double bass) and Peter Bjerrum (drums).

Doors open at 1:45 p.m., and tickets are purchased at the entrance. Before the concert there is an opportunity for communal dining. The event is supported by Copenhagen's Music Committee and the Danish Arts Foundation.

About the venue: Brønshøj Kulturhus

BRØK - Brønshøj Kulturhus opened in August 2024 in the renovated Brønshøj Gamle Skole, a building from 1901 right next to Brønshøj Torv. The house has a performance hall for concerts, theatre, film and talks, along with workshops for ceramics, textiles and visual arts. It is run by the City of Copenhagen and partly replaces the former Kulturhuset Pilegården.

About: Søren Peter Frøsig

Søren Peter Frøsig is a Danish trumpeter, vocalist and entertainer from West Jutland who has played music since childhood. He performs with several groups - including Jazz Dippers, Jazz Med To and Frøsigs Kvartet - covering traditional jazz, swing and Danish evergreens.

About: Nicolas Kock

Nicolas Kock is a Danish jazz double bassist who plays across several traditional jazz and swing ensembles, including Jazz Dippers, Jazz Cats and the West Coast Jazz Quartet, as well as leading his own trio. His playing is rooted in the classic jazz tradition, from swing to jazz evergreens.
