Bushbabies - Knudsen / Bremer / Ewert

Bushbabies' new album 'Huma Bird' takes its name from the Persian myth of Huma - a bird of fortune whose shadow is said to bring luck. While the trio's debut blended afrobeat, cumbia and highlife with melodies from folk songs, hymns and ballads, they now venture into Persian funk, Brazilian folklore, African cowbells and Tibetan mountains - eclectic and virtuosic, yet grounded.

Behind the music stand Niclas Knudsen (guitar), known from Ibrahim Electric and Kalaha, Jonathan Bremer (bass), who with the duo Bremer/McCoy has shaped Nordic jazz, and Felix Ewert (drums) from Tabloid and Alex Vargas.

Doors open at 19:30 - the concert is standing room only.
