Bushbabies is a trio whose latest album 'Huma Bird' draws inspiration from the Persian myth of Huma - a bird of fortune whose shadow is said to bring luck. While their debut album blended afrobeat, cumbia and highlife with folk songs, hymns and ballads, the band now ventures into Persian funk, Brazilian folklore, African percussion and Tibetan mountains.

The project features Niclas Knudsen on guitar, Jonathan Bremer on bass and Felix Ewert on drums. Knudsen is known from decades of improvised music in Ibrahim Electric and Kalaha, among others. Bremer has shaped Nordic jazz with the duo Bremer/McCoy. Ewert is known from Tabloid and Alex Vargas.
