Bryggen Synger Sammen

Bryggen Synger Sammen takes place at Islands Brygge Bibliotek in Copenhagen on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 at 19:00. Signe Damkjær leads a free community singing event at the piano, drawing songs from the Danish folk songbook, pop, and ballads - both well-known and lesser-known pieces. The library on Njalsgade, a fixture in Islands Brygge since 1966, hosts the evening. Stories behind the lyrics and melodies are shared throughout, and after the interval, participants choose songs themselves. Coffee and conversation follow. This October date is the first of two Danish performances Signe Damkjær has scheduled.
