Bryggen Synger Sammen — Islands Brygge Bibliotek, Copenhagen

Free entry

Join singers for a free community sing-along at Islands Brygge Bibliotek, featuring songs from the Danish folk songbook alongside pop, ballads, and other music. Signe Damkjær accompanies on piano, and the evening includes short stories about the background of the songs and melodies, plus time for coffee and conversation.

Each evening features a guest host connected to Islands Brygge, who opens with five self-chosen songs. After the break, participants choose what to sing next.

About the venue: Islands Brygge Bibliotek

Islands Brygge Bibliotek on Njalsgade is a small public library that has occupied the same spot in the old part of the Islands Brygge neighbourhood since 1966. The single-room space houses both adult and children's sections, with shelves stocked with new titles. Beyond lending, the library runs reading clubs, author events, book cafés and regular children's activities such as storytelling and theatre. Self-service access is available every day 08:00-20:00; a health card is required outside staffed hours.
