Learn to Throw: 6-Week Evening Course with Szabina Lócki

This six-week evening course is for beginners and those with some experience who want to learn ceramic wheel throwing. Instruction is led by Szabina Lócki.

The course begins with cylindrical basic forms and gradually progresses toward closed shapes and trimming, open forms such as bowls, and finally participants' own self-designed pieces. The final lessons cover decorative techniques, glazing, and preparation for firing. By the end of the course, participants will have a collection of finished ceramic works and a solid foundation in throwing technique.

Szabina Lócki is a ceramicist and instructor based in Copenhagen, originally from Hungary. She has over four years of teaching experience and has run her own ceramic studio since 2021, focusing on stoneware thrown on the wheel - clean, functional forms with natural surfaces. Instruction takes place at the ceramic studio at Vesterbro Library and Cultural Centre. The price covers instruction and materials, and participants are expected to contribute to tidying and cleaning on an equal basis with other users.
