First aid courses in English with Marianne Mogensen, held at Havnestadsklinikken, Islands Brygge (Amager). Nearly every month two courses are offered: a 3-hour course in CPR and choking prevention (ages 0-8) and an extended 4-hour course. The instructor is a physiotherapist and certified first aid instructor (Danish First Aid Council). Babies aged 0-12 months are welcome free of charge.

3- and 4-hour course - programme:
- The four steps of first aid
- Assessment of consciousness and breathing
- CPR for babies (0-12 months) and children (1-8 years) - thorough practice with Junior & Baby CPR manikins
- Recovery position
- Use of AED
- Prevention and first aid for choking - thorough practice
- Signs of serious infection, falls, burns, poisoning, febrile seizures and other seizures

4-hour course only - extended programme:
- Moderate bleeding
- Bites and stings, including tick bites
- Foreign objects in skin, eyes, ears and nose
- Poisonous plants
- Tooth injuries (baby teeth and permanent teeth)
- Sprains and dislocations

Registration and practical information:

Registration is per adult (18+). Babies (0-12 months) can be brought free of charge. Pregnant women are welcome. Babysitters and au pairs can contact Marianne in advance to receive a diploma. Couples buy one full-price ticket and one partner ticket at a discount - it is possible to attend different sessions on the same day (use the same name when registering so you can take turns minding the child). Registration is binding. Bring a yoga mat or similar, a lock for the pram and refreshments.

The CPR manikins can provide feedback to your mobile via the QCPR app from Laerdal (free on Google Play and App Store) - download it before the course if you like. You will receive an email with practical details a few days before.
