Pottery Wheel Course with Szabina Lócki

This weekend course covers all phases of the pottery wheel process - from your first encounter with clay on the wheel to shaping narrow, wide, tall and low forms. Each participant has their own pottery wheel available throughout the weekend, and the course fee covers both instruction and materials.

The course is designed for beginners and those with some experience: both people who have never touched a pottery wheel and those who have tried it and want to progress further.

Your instructor is Szabina Lócki, who began her craft training in 2018 at a woodworking studio in Hawaii. After training as a furniture maker, she switched from wood to clay, and since 2021 she has taught pottery wheel throwing. Her practice also includes casting and various hand-building techniques.

The course takes place at the ceramic studio at Vesterbro Library and Cultural Centre. All participants are expected to contribute to cleaning and tidying on an equal basis with other studio users.
