Debut Fest: Future On

"Future On" starts from a simple paradox: we constantly talk about past and future, but can only exist in the present. The performance asks what happens when we actually stay in the moment - and meet each other there.

Without traditional narrative, the performance unfolds as a physical dialogue between two performers in a continuous flow of movement, where bodies move in and out of different states - together and separately. The movement explores tensions between closeness and distance, recognition and estrangement, the sensed now and the imagined.

Behind the performance stands the performance company KrydsKunst, led by artist Lilli O'Reilly Wagner Hansen and freelance artist Astrid Bruun Lyby. Both are trained contemporary dancers with a shared physical language rooted in floorwork and partnerwork. The collaboration took shape in autumn 2025 during a residency at Samiskt Danscenter in Vuollerim.
