Tue West

Tue West made his breakthrough in 2003 with radio hits like "En Sang Om Kærlighed" and "Hun Er Fri", and has since released 10 studio albums over 20 years. Two of his songs - "Lov Mig Det" and "Hvad Tænker Ingrid På" - are included in the Danish folk song collection Højskolesangbogen. His music is poetic rock with sharp lyrics, primarily in Danish but with a growing number of English-language tracks.

On stage he is surrounded by a full band featuring saxophone, guitar, drums and bass, with the concert alternating between electric passages and acoustic solo sections on piano. Stories and humour are part of the package.

Tue West has received a Grammy, P3's talent prize and the Danish State Arts Prize for rhythmic music. His latest album, "Det er dog bedre end håbet om mere" from 2025, was described by GAFFA as follows: "Tue West's new album testifies to the strong musical craftsmanship that the nasal-voiced singer has made his trademark over a quarter century. The skald does not chase perfection, but an authentic expression where everything is created by himself, ranging from original poetry to unpolished vocals." In 2025 he surpassed 1 million annual streams on Spotify with over 60,000 monthly listeners.
