Merry Christmas, Cirkeline

Early on Christmas morning, Cirkeline wakes up in her matchbox and gazes up at the stars - and from there the Christmas adventure unfolds. Together with her mouse friends Frederik and Ingolf, there are gifts to wrap, hearts to weave, and songs to sing.

The journey also takes them into a snow-covered forest in search of the Christmas tree, where a villainous cat, a couple of funny forest sprites, and the mouse Knud with his red nose appear, before Christmas Eve finally arrives.

The production is written by Hanne Hastrup and directed by Lisbet Lipschitz, with three actors from Teater Next on stage. The music - composed by Hans-Henrik Ley and David Hildebrandt - is in the same spirit as the well-known animated films. Set design by Niels Secher, and masks created by Maria La Cour and Johan Kølkjær.
