The Myth-Maker Johannes V. Jensen

Martin Kristiansen, cand.mag. in literary studies and history, gives a lecture on Johannes V. Jensen's life, literary work, and historical context based on the biography "The Myth-Maker". He draws on letters, articles, poems, novels, and myths to paint a nuanced portrait of the author.

The lecture explores Jensen's dual legacy - as a master of language and as a controversial thinker - and traces the historical and mythological layers in his works. Kristiansen also discusses Jensen's view of nature, which long before the climate crisis pointed to the need for a more humble relationship with the natural world.
