Christmas Lunch Jazz with Jazz Vegaz

Jazz Vegaz is a six-piece ensemble performing music from the great American jazz and swing orchestras of the 1920s to 1940s. The arrangements are written by saxophonist Finn Odderskov and adapted for the small group while staying true to the original American sound.

The programme features pieces by Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington - including Wolverine Blues, King Porter Stomp, Take the A Train, Rockin' in Rythm and The Moose - as well as a selection of traditional standards, with four of the musicians taking turns on vocals.

The band consists of Finn Odderskov (saxophone, clarinet and arrangements), Lars "Vegaz" Dalsgaard (clarinet and saxophone), Gunnar Lautrup (trumpet and trombone), Gert Jacobsen (piano and vocals), Jesper Carlsen (bass) and Uffe Hansen (drums, vocals and bandleader).

The ticket includes both the jazz concert and a Christmas buffet. Doors open at 11:30, lunch is served at 12:15, and the music runs from 13:00 to 15:30.
