Tweens 'n' trends: Draw Your Own God with Fred Tornager

Manga comic creator Fred Tornager - known from the Ping Prize-nominated series 'Gunhild' - leads a workshop for children aged 8-12 at Copenhagen's Main Library on Saturday, 12 September, 1:00 PM-2:30 PM on the 4th floor. The workshop is conducted in Danish, so children must understand basic Danish.

Fred Tornager discusses how she designs gods for her Norse mythology universe and provides an introduction to character design based on established mythology. Her work is especially inspired by shonen manga (Japanese action comics) and Western animated series. Afterwards, participants draw their own god characters.

Remember to bring a pencil case with pencils, sharpeners and erasers - you'll sit on cushions and work on clipboards. Entry is free, but tickets must be booked on billetto.dk to ensure access. Adults who buy a ticket are expected to participate in the drawing exercises - however, it is not necessary to stay for the entire workshop, as there are rest areas in the nearby library.
