Wild About Science: Pia Callesen on Mental Clarity
Christianshavns Bibliotek, Copenhagen · Free
Psychologist, Ph.D. and author Pia Callesen presents a lecture based on her latest book 'Ro i hovedet' (Mental Clarity), exploring what we can do when our thoughts spiral out of control. Drawing on research, clinical experience, and metacognitive therapy, she examines how to reduce mental clutter and create greater mental peace - including the 'Metamodel', developed to break down unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, and build better life strategies.
Pia Callesen is an authorized psychologist and certified psychotherapy specialist with advanced training in cognitive and metacognitive psychology. She runs CEKTOS - Center for Cognitive and Metacognitive Therapy.
The lecture takes place at Christianshavn Library, 1st floor, room Othello (Dronningensgade 53, 1420 Copenhagen K) and is part of Copenhagen Libraries' festival "Wild About Science", running in October and November with science communication for adults across all Copenhagen Libraries.
Nearest metro: Christianshavn Station (M1/M2), approximately 5 minutes' walk. Bus to Christianshavn Square is also about 5 minutes away. Bicycle parking is available at the library, and paid parking is available in the area.
