The festival "Skryabin, Yurko Yurcash Yurchenko & Friends" brings Ukrainian music and culture to the stage at Albertslund Library.

The programme features Skryabin, a band from the 1990s that continues after the death of its original frontman, and Hudaki Village, a folk band from the Carpathian Mountains. Additional performances and surprises are also announced.

Tickets cost 150 kr. for one person, 200 kr. for two, or 500 kr. for five. Ukrainians residing in Albertslund Municipality enter free.

About the venue: Albertslund Bibliotek

Albertslund Bibliotek has been the main public library in Albertslund since 1964, situated on Bibliotekstorvet in the town centre. Its collection covers books, e-books and audiobooks, and the library runs a regular programme of talks, reading clubs and cultural events. The municipal Borgerservice office shares the building, handling passports, health cards and digital citizen services.

About: Skryabin

Born in western Ukraine in 1989, Skryabin set the benchmark for Ukrainian-language synthpop and rock with Kuzma at the helm. Since his passing in 2015, the band's surviving members have kept the music alive for new audiences.

From a small village in the Ukrainian Carpathians, Hudaki Village Band bring living Carpathian wedding music to the stage - nine musicians rooted in an oral tradition that weaves together Slavic, Jewish, Romanian and Roma melodies.
