Jesper Bugge Kold - Where the Wind Turns — Varde Bibliotek, Varde

In autumn, Jesper Bugge Kold concludes his bestselling trilogy with "Where the Journey Ends", released on September 4th. The book brings closure to the series, which also includes "Where the Wind Turns" and "Where the Fire Burns".

Drawing on the three books, Jesper Bugge Kold tells the story of approximately 300,000 Danes - roughly 10% of the country's population at the time - who turned their backs on everything they knew to seek happiness in America. His inspiration comes partly from family letters written by his relative Peter Julius Christensen, who emigrated to America in 1879, and which the family still possesses today.

Jesper Bugge Kold made his debut in 2014 with "Winter Men", which was nominated for BogForums Debut Prize and later achieved bestseller status in both the USA and Germany. In 2021 he published "The Girl from the Great White Ship" in collaboration with Mich Vraa, followed by "Three Days in April" the following year.

The event takes place in Salonen at Varde Library.
