Poul Henningsen designed the P.H. lamp as a deliberate challenge to the aesthetic norms of his time - yet today it has become the very symbol of good taste. Ane Cortzen uses this paradox as the starting point for a lecture about how some culture is perceived as refined and other culture is not. With concrete examples from design and art, she shows that prejudices about taste can be challenged, and that one can speak knowledgeably about these fields without formal education.

Ane Cortzen (b. 1974) is an architect from the Royal Danish Academy's School of Architecture and a long-time television presenter at Danish Radio, including the series "Is There an Architect Present?" (DR). She has edited the book "Tænk Os Om" (2023) and received the Henning Larsen Honorary Award (2024).

The lecture takes place in the Culture Hall, Høng Hallen. During the break, Rosenvænget's function room sells beverages and cake. The event is a collaboration between the Local History Association for Høng Municipality and the Library Club.
