Østerbro Day Choir

Østerbro Day Choir welcomes everyone who wants to sing together - whether you're completely new to choral singing or have previous experience. Each session begins with vocal warm-ups and breathing exercises before the choir works on its repertoire, which covers jazz, pop, folk and gospel. Vocal technique, harmony and songs from different parts of the world are central elements.

The choir is led by two instructors. Jordan Jackson is a professional singer and private music teacher with over 15 years of experience and a BA honours in music; she works particularly with the voice as a tool for mindfulness and vocal confidence. Aleksandra Raczynska studied choir direction and jazz vocals at the music conservatory in Gdańsk, Poland, and now lives in Copenhagen, where she sings, teaches and leads choirs including Absalon Kor, Choir Club and MVE.
