Sensory Workshop — Solvang Bibliotek, Copenhagen
Free entry

Musician and illustrator Franz Bomberg and textile artist Debbie Kathrine Sørensen have created a room with colorful curtains printed with nature motifs, where they take the youngest children on a sensory journey through nature. From large and small suitcases, tactile treasures are pulled out one by one: things to listen to, touch, smell and explore.

What happens when you shake plant seeds? Does sheep's wool smell like something specific? Can a potted plant be used as an instrument? Do pine cones smell different when they get wet? And what does parsley actually taste like?

There are two sessions: 09:30-10:05 for 1-3-year-olds (reserved for nursery children) and 10:30-11:05 for 2-4-year-olds (reserved for kindergarten children). Date is selected via the ticket link.

Franz and Debbie are affiliated with Solvang Library in 2026 as part of the project Nature's Fantasy / Fantasy of Nature, supported by Amager Vest Local Committee, Nordea Foundation and children's cultural funds.
