Gry Stokkendahl Dalgas with Blue Lake
Sydhavnens Bibliotek, Copenhagen
Gry Stokkendahl Dalgas debuted in 2019 with "Det er herfra jeg vil begynde at tale, disse ord kan finde vej", which received the Munch-Christensen Debut Prize. Since then she has published the long poem "Kudan eller Kalven" (2022), "At performe transkønnet vrede" (2022) and the novel "Calluna" (2025) - works that explore identity, transness, nature, care and social critique.
Blue Lake is an instrumental project led by American musician and composer Jason Dungan, based in Copenhagen. The project draws on folk, ambient, jazz and experimental music, building its soundscapes from handmade string instruments, guitar, clarinet and acoustic textures. The album "Sun Arcs" (2023) was named "best new music" on Pitchfork.
At Sydhavnens Literature Festival, Gry Stokkendahl Dalgas performs the long poem "Kudan; eller Kalven" with Blue Lake as musical accompaniment - a movement in sound and words into the body's fragility and pain.
