Testmann Jazz Band
Testmann Jazz Band brings vocal mainstream jazz, ballads, bossas and bebop with five experienced musicians.
The repertoire ranges from the great American songbook and Latin American numbers - including Antonio Carlos Jobim - to original compositions by Ole Matthiessen. The band has performed at cafés, jazz clubs and private events for over 15 years.
Front and center is singer Peter Testmann. Behind him is saxophonist Jens Søndergaard, one of the country's most sought-after musicians with recordings alongside Kenny Werner and Lee Konitz, as well as pianist Ole Matthiessen, who has spent more than 60 years in jazz, was previously a host on DR's Jazz Nyt and has several critically acclaimed albums to his name. Drummer Lars Bo Lindblad began his career in the 1980s at jazz clubs in Aarhus before settling in Copenhagen. Bassist Ole Rahr studied under Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen and spent 10 years with Finn Ziegler at La Fontaine and with Ole Nezer at his piano bar.
