The acoustic Copenhagen trio You Jane brings their new release 'Backwards' to Drop Inn. The band blends roots, Americana, folk, country and rockabilly - Danish musicians with a sound pointing more toward Nashville than Copenhagen's northwest.

The programme features original songs with catchy choruses, mood and soul alongside bluegrass and roots classics for foot-stomping. It all comes with twang, upright bass and male vocals.

Drop Inn on Kompagnistræde opened in 1934 as a restaurant with cabaret entertainment, soon nicknamed "Den røde ged" (The Red Goat) by Danish veterans of the Spanish Civil War. It became a refuge for jazz-loving bohemians, musicians and artists. Today it is an intimate live music venue with a near-floor-level stage, covering jazz, blues, rock and soul, with regular Jam Nights and a prominent role in the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
