Sound Proof plays blues, funk and soul. Lead singer Morten Midtgaard delivers vocals with soul and power rarely heard on Danish stages, while Mikkel Østergaard plays harmonica at an international level, showcasing how funky and gritty the instrument can sound.

Pelle Stampe blends blues, funk and jazz on guitar - a style Magic Slim called "the real deal". Jens Steins and Ole Morten Petersen anchor the sound on bass and drums.

The setlist alternates between the band's original songs and funk and soul classics by James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding and The Temptations.

About the venue: Drop inn

Drop Inn on Kompagnistræde opened in 1934 as a restaurant with cabaret entertainment, soon nicknamed "Den røde ged" (The Red Goat) by Danish veterans of the Spanish Civil War. It became a refuge for jazz-loving bohemians, musicians and artists. Today it is an intimate live music venue with a near-floor-level stage, covering jazz, blues, rock and soul, with regular Jam Nights and a prominent role in the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
