Henrik Nordbrandt. In Memory

Peter Dyreborg presents a special edition of his Henrik Nordbrandt show at ValbyDage 2026, arranged by Valby's literature collaboration. The programme features poetry, anecdotes and conversation, with wine and cheese served as usual.

Dyreborg is a poetry slammer and long-time Nordbrandt enthusiast, and the performance alternates between Nordbrandt's humour and Nordbrandt's gravity. Time is also set aside for the audience to discuss Nordbrandt's poetry.

Henrik Nordbrandt (1945-2023) is considered one of the greatest poets in Danish literature and is included in the new canon. He was born on World Poetry Day, 21 March, in Frederiksberg, and left behind numerous poetry collections - as well as one poem written on the stones at Toftegårds Plads in Valby.
