Visible Mending: Take Care of Your Clothes

For generations, mending and maintaining clothes was a given - today, a sock with a hole often ends up in the trash. This workshop aims to reverse that trend.

Anna Kjær Voss, textile educator and expert in sustainable textile use, guides participants through classic and modern repair techniques including darning, scotch darning, and various embroidery stitches. The practical handwork is combined with stories about clothing consumption and craftsmanship through the ages. Anna works as a textile activist to make clothing and textile repair an everyday practice, and the workshop is open to all skill levels.

Materials and tools are provided. Feel free to bring your own clothes if you have something that needs mending.
