Train Travel for Beginners - How Do We Take a Shortcut to a Green Holiday?
Trekanten - Bibliotek og Kulturhus, Aalborg · 95 kr. (student 75 kr.) · ≈ 10–13 €
Aalborg Evening School hosts a lecture and debate evening on 22 September 2026 at 18:30-21:30 at Trekanten, Sebbersundvej 2a, 9220 Aalborg East. The speaker is Nanna Hyldgaard Hansen, journalist and author of, among other works, "Train Travel for Beginners".
Based on her own experiences, Nanna covers the practical aspects of train holidays: booking seat reservations abroad, handling delays, night trains, Interrail, and home exchange as a budget-friendly travel option. She also discusses when first class actually pays off and what it takes to make train travel the obvious choice for families with children and seniors.
The evening also addresses the practical and political barriers that prevent people from choosing rail over flying. After the presentation, there will be an open forum for questions, experience sharing, and debate.
