Conversation Café - Humanist Dialogue Forum - On Culture

What is culture, really? The concept is hard to pin down - it points in contradictory directions and encompasses both elite and popular dimensions at once. Culture has its own ministry and newspaper section, but becomes even more elusive when narrowed down to art.

In cities, culture is prioritized by affluent groups, while in rural areas it can meet resistance - unless it's Danish, then it's suddenly beloved. Perhaps it's an advantage that the concept remains somewhat unclear. What would we do without it anyway?

The conversation café is open to everyone without prerequisites. A moderator opens with a brief introduction and helps unfold the theme, after which participants talk together - not to convince each other, but to listen and be enriched by each other's perspectives. The evening also includes a couple of songs related to the theme. Participation is free.
