Læseforeningen is an open reading community primarily for seniors, but everyone who enjoys sharing their immediate reading experiences is welcome.

Vera from Læseforeningen reads excerpts aloud from short stories, novels, and poetry. No preparation is required, and you do not need to register.

The event takes place every Wednesday at 15:00 at Islands Brygge Bibliotek.

Islands Brygge Bibliotek on Njalsgade is a small public library that has occupied the same spot in the old part of the Islands Brygge neighbourhood since 1966. The single-room space houses both adult and children's sections, with shelves stocked with new titles. Beyond lending, the library runs reading clubs, author events, book cafés and regular children's activities such as storytelling and theatre. Self-service access is available every day 08:00-20:00; a health card is required outside staffed hours.
