Sunday Concert: The Ukrainian Tone

Danish-Ukrainian pianist Elisabeth Holmegaard Nielsen presents a Sunday concert at Opstandelseskirken, exploring the Ukrainian tone in classical and folk music. With roots in both countries, she connects the two cultures through stories and piano examples - from Central European classics to contemporary Ukrainian voices.

Elisabeth Holmegaard Nielsen completed her solo studies in 2017 after studying in Vienna and Copenhagen. She has won prizes at international piano competitions, released two critically acclaimed CDs, and performed as a soloist in Europe and China. As a pianist and teacher, she works to promote Danish and Ukrainian music and collaborates with contemporary composers on projects rooted in Scandinavian, French, and Italian musical traditions.
