Opera at Sondrup Strand 2026

Award-winning open-air opera concert in a beautiful setting by Horsens Fjord. Every August, Sondrup Strand hosts a classical opera experience for everyone - whether you're a seasoned opera lover or simply curious. This year's concert explores "Faith, Hope and Love" through opera's most powerful emotions.

Featuring house artist Isabel Piganiol, soprano Frederikke Kampmann, baritone Anders Kampmann, and pianist Ulrich Stærk. The programme includes scenes from Roméo et Juliette and La Bohème, alongside arias from Tosca, Norma, The Bluebird of Happiness, and Cole Porter's timeless love songs. The afternoon concludes with sunshine, smiles, group singing, and a surprise finale revealed in the moment.

The concert takes place on the green area above the steps to Sondrup Strand. After the performance, communal dining follows - bring your own picnic or order an Opera menu (pre-booking required). Tables and benches are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own picnic blanket or folding chair. Please bring your own plates, cutlery, glasses, and beverages (the buffet includes food only).
